Orange reduces CO2 emissions by 75%

Since 2006, CO2 emissions at Orange have been reduced by 75%. From now on, the mobile operator will also be compensating the non-reducible emissions from its operational activities. Orange has stated that all its buildings, shops and networks will soon be CO2 neutral.

Drastic energy savings, sustainable waste management, green electricity contracts, a low-CO2 vehicle fleet, etc.: with help from the independent climate advice organisation CO2logic, Orange has drastically reduced its environmental impact.

And the company is not stopping there

From now on, the non-reducible emissions that result from activities undertaken by Orange will be CO2 neutral thanks to a compensation mechanism. This system finances projects that make the reduction of CO2 emissions a priority. Orange contributes to a project that is fighting against deforestation in Uganda and working to improve the living conditions of the local population.

Result? Today, Orange is the first Belgian mobile operator to offer CO2-neutral mobile services.
