8 mars. Journée internationale des droits des femmes. Droit de choisir. Droit d’apprendre. On agit. #IWD25 #IWD #JIDF

i-mens and Orange have been working together on a 5G subsidy project called "communiceren zonder grenzen". From business case perspective, this video translation APP allows two i-mens people to talk to each-other using their own language, while at the same time they can see the translation on their screen. Today i-mens employees - who are working outside the office - are able to 'urgently call' their supervisior for help/support while each-one can still talk their their own language. From technical perspective some development has been made, which allows the smartphone to select a priority path on the Orange 5G network (5G slice + IP-VPN) for business critical APPs, while all other APPs on the same smartphone are forced to use default internet traffic. This feature is called URSP (UE Route Selection Policy). Here i-mens has selected the Trulinco video translation APP as the business critical app. This feature was implemented on Nokia/HMD phones. From a wider perspective, this solution can be used to for mission-critical use-cases. This solution will allow 5G devices to still handle data-traffic even when the network is saturated (the 5G network and/or the internet).
