Do you sometimes get weaker mobile network coverage, but you’re connected to WiFi?
From now on you can call where you couldn’t call before, via a WiFi network. Calling via WiFi can be the ideal solution for you if you have poor coverage of the mobile network at home or at the office. The only thing you need to enable this feature is a compatible smartphone.

Switch on this service
On iOS
iOS 11.3 or more should be installed on your iPhone, and the most recent carrier settings. This update will follow in the coming days through a pop-up. This pop-up allows you to validate and update your carrier settings.
For a manual update, these are the possibilities:
- either you connect your iPhone with your computer and iTunes. Carry out the most recent update.
- either you go to Settings > General > About. The pop-up with "Update carrier settings" will appear automatically.
Now you can enable calling over WiFi: go to Settings > Mobile data > Wi-Fi calling > Wi-Fi calling on this iPhone > ON
On Android
The last software update has to be installed on your device.
For a manual update, these are the possibilities:/p>
- either you connect your Samsung with your computer and the Smart Switch application. Carry out the most recent update.
- either you go to Settings > Software update > Download update manually. ZMake sure you are connected through Wi-Fi, the update is 1,2 GB large.
Now you can enable calling over Wi-Fi: go to Phone > Call Settings > Wi-Fi calling > ON.
