With the launch of a renewed offer, Orange Business extends its Cloud Telephony solution to mid-sized and larger organisations. Product Manager B2B Vincent Desmarets explains its key strengths. 

Orange Business has long offered an efficient Cloud Telephony solution for up to 30 users.

“Alongside this standardised solution for smaller companies, we are now launching a tailored offer with expanded capabilities,” Vincent Desmarets says. “It provides the same benefits for businesses with more than 30 users and can be enhanced with additional features depending on specific needs.”

This extension reflects a reality many companies face today: employees no longer work exclusively in the office. They work from home, on the move, or across different locations.

“That means companies are missing opportunities,” Desmarets warns. “Did you know that as many as 85% of people who call a business and don’t get an answer switch to a competitor? With Cloud Telephony, we provide employees with a telephony solution that works from anywhere and on any device — desk phone, PC or smartphone.”

 

Clear pricing, all included

Cloud Telephony operates on a per-user, per-month pricing model. This includes full unified communications functionality, fixed numbers, national and international calls and access via PC, desk phone and mobile. “It’s a clear offer with no surprises,” says Desmarets. “Customers pay a fixed monthly fee covering everything they need. Adding or removing users can be done easily in just a few clicks via the central platform.”

What happens if the internet connection fails? “Companies often worry about this, but it’s unnecessary,” Desmarets says. “With an Orange internet connection, a 4G backup automatically takes over in case of disruption. Thanks to this mobile integration, calls continue seamlessly over the mobile network.”

 

Integrations that make the difference

For companies with more advanced needs, the new Cloud Telephony offer includes a range of valuable add-ons. International branches can be connected to the same platform, with local numbers in each country of operation. Desmarets: “A customer with offices abroad no longer needs separate systems. Everything runs on one platform with centralised management.”

The new Cloud Telephony offer also integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Teams and more than 100 CRM systems, including widely used platforms such as Odoo and Teamleader. Incoming calls are instantly recognised and the customer profile appears on screen.

An advanced reporting system enables real-time KPI tracking, dashboard creation and automated reporting.

“For companies managing inbound calls centrally, contact centre features are also available, with routing based on employee skills and availability,” Desmarets adds.

 

Guided implementation

Many companies fear that moving from a traditional PBX setup to cloud telephony is complex and time-consuming. In reality, deployment is smooth and takes place without any disruption to business operations.

Still, Desmarets recommends thorough preparation: “At Orange Business, we always start by visiting the customer to review the existing setup and map the full infrastructure,” he says. “We identify current and future needs and provide concrete guidance, so everything is fully prepared for installation.”

During implementation, devices are configured, numbers are ported and the solution is tested with the customer. “Employees are trained on how to use the solution, and both end users and administrators get access to interfaces to manage their settings independently,” Desmarets explains. “If they prefer, customers can also fully delegate this to Orange Business. Our team can manage configurations remotely, and a dedicated support line remains available in the weeks following installation.”
