The new Samsung S26: your smart AI assistant
From a purely technical standpoint, the Samsung S26 delivers clear improvements in multiple areas. “This is especially valuable for professionals,” says Kristof Albrecht. “The new chipset delivers up to 19% more CPU performance and up to 24% more GPU performance. Multitasking, even with heavier apps, is noticeably faster. Improved cooling ensures consistent performance during intensive use.”
The cameras have also been upgraded: “The Ultra version features a 200 MP main camera with significantly better low-light performance. The selfie camera now offers a wider field of view, ideal for video.”
Efficient privacy
A completely new feature is the Privacy Display on the Samsung S26 Ultra. “Until now, users had to apply a privacy screen protector to prevent others from looking at their display,” Albrecht explains. “That’s not ideal. If you wanted to show something to colleagues, they had to sit very close. The Samsung S26 Ultra solves this at pixel level by controlling light diffusion to limit side visibility.”
The ability to activate this selectively is a major advantage. Albrecht: “You can limit it to certain screen areas or specific apps, such as professional or mobile banking apps. As soon as you enter a username and password, those fields are automatically protected. That alone makes it essential for professionals — and no other smartphone currently offers this.”
Revolutionary AI
The real breakthrough lies in Samsung’s approach to AI. The company is fully committed to Agentic AI. “This means the AI doesn’t just respond to requests — it also thinks proactively and independently. The Samsung S26 understands context and takes the initiative,” Albrecht explains.
“For example, if you ask a colleague on WhatsApp when you can meet, the AI will automatically check your calendar and suggest available time slots. Or if you want to show project photos, it retrieves them instantly without endless scrolling. We’re moving toward a situation where your smartphone performs tasks proactively on your behalf — like a personal assistant that simplifies your life. For professionals, this represents significant time savings.”
Enhanced security
Is such proactive AI safe? “That’s a valid concern for businesses,” Albrecht says. “A device managing so much data must handle it securely.”
Samsung addresses this by running AI fully on-device. “Companies can ensure that data never leaves the device. We call this on-device AI. You can also choose which AI model to use: Google’s Gemini or Anthropic’s model, giving you full control over your data.”
This control is reinforced by Samsung Knox, he adds. “Knox forms the foundation of our enterprise approach. Combined with mobile device management, companies can enforce strict policies, manage updates and monitor devices. This is also relevant for European NIS2 regulations, which impose strict cybersecurity requirements. Cybercriminals increasingly target mobile devices to access corporate networks. Knox helps identify vulnerabilities and respond quickly.”
Orange Business also plays a key role as a partner. “Through Orange Business, companies receive support for implementing and managing Knox, improving both security and device management.”
