The TV decoder offers a number of measures to limit access to certain channels and recordings for family members. Access can be restricted with the aid of a four-digit PIN code and a level of parental control (standard 18 y.o.) set during the installation of your Shape & Fix Basic. The PIN code is listed in the welcome email you received following installation. It is important that the children do not discover the PIN code for parental control.

PIN code

You must enter the PIN code when you want to watch a programme, recording or channel subject to an age restriction in compliance with the Belgian media regulation. This means that the programme is not suited for an audience under 10, 12, 16 or 18 years of age. You always need a valid PIN code to watch a programme on a blocked channel.

Example: When you have set the level of parental control to 12 years old the PIN code must be entered to watch programmes not recommended for children under the age of 12 (you can recognise these programmes from the ‘12’ icon in the TV guide). The window where the PIN code must be entered is always displayed at the top of the current page. Use the arrow buttons ᐃ and ᐁ on the remote control to navigate between the available actions in the PIN code window.

Enter the required PIN code using the buttons on your remote control and press ‘OK’ to confirm. In the ‘Save PIN code’ field you can set a time period during which you don’t have to enter the PIN code again. Set this time period using the arrow buttons ᐊ and ᐒ on your remote control.

Changing the PIN code and level of parental control

You can change the PIN code or the level of parental control via the interface of your TV under the menu Settings > User. You must enter the PIN code to access this menu..

Resetting the PIN code

Forgot the PIN code? Call the Orange support team at 5995. They will reset your code to 1234 after which you can set a new and safe PIN code for your decoder via the menu Settings > User > Change PIN code
