Jean-Charles Piette has always been fascinated by environments where reliability and precision are essential. “During my studies in computer science and economics, I discovered how much I value the craftsmanship behind technology. Tailored risk management

Jean‑Charles Piette soon realised that existing IT solutions did not satisfy the very specific software requirements of banks and other regulated organisations. “Financial institutions are forced to adapt to technology that was not designed for their processes. That makes little sense, because their risk management is so critical that every detail matters.” This led Jean‑Charles Piette to found Craft it in 2022. The mission: develop IT solutions for effective risk management tailored to regulated organisations.

Most of Craft it’s clients are financial institutions, but the company also works with entities in the energy and petrochemical industries. “What they all have in common is that they operate in highly regulated environments and undergo routine audits. That requires strong risk management. At Craft it, we develop IT solutions to model those risks and integrate them into our clients’ systems. In financial institutions, this often involves workflows to assess credit risks.”

Strict standards

Because Craft it works with highly regulated companies, it must meet the same strict standards. “Risks in our internal systems are also risks for our clients,” Jean‑Charles Piette explains. “So we needed strong cybersecurity.  That includes consistent device management, real-time monitoring of cyber threats and clear governance of operational processes.”
