Watching TV via an analogue signal on the Telenet cable network will soon no longer be possible.
What is an analogue signal?
An analogue signal, unlike a digital signal, is only transmitted via a cable directly connected to the TV. This is an old-fashioned way of broadcasting and does not require any extra accessories such as a set-up box/decoder. You get access to a limited number of free TV channels.
What is going to change?
Telenet has decided to phase out the analogue signal on its network. This means that analogue TV channels will be permanently switched off.
What does this mean for Orange customers?
For the Shape & Fix offer, Orange uses the Telenet cable network in Flanders and in certain municipalities in Brussels*. As an Orange customer, you may therefore be affected by this interruption, as Telenet owns the cable networks in your region.
