Trends Gazelles: Orange customers among winners

17.05.2022

As an IT partner, our ultimate aim is to help customers grow. Recently this year’s Trends Gazelles were awarded to the fastest-growing businesses in our country. We were proud to find that three out of six winners are Orange customers.

For the third year in a row, Orange is a partner of Trends Gazelles. Last autumn, Trends Magazine nominated 2,400 companies from every province and region in Belgium for this prestigious title. The nominees were divided into three categories: large companies, SMEs and small businesses. The growth of each company between 2016 and 2020 was taken into consideration, with the jury scrutinising the increase in added value, cash flow and number of employees, in absolute and relative terms. Based on these results, the jury selected three Trends Gazelles per province. From that group the six eventual winners were selected, one per region per category. They were awarded the title of Ambassador of the Trends Gazelles.’.

Proud partner of businesses in full expansion

As an IT partner, our main aim is to help our customers grow – and apparently we are having success. One in three regional Trends Gazelles is an Orange customer. Among the national Ambassadors of the Trends Gazelles, this percentage is even higher: half are Orange customers. Those companies are Multi Clever Trade, PMSweet and AsterX.

  • Multi Clever Trade (winner in the large companies category in Wallonia)
Multi Clever Trade sells women’s clothing. In 2014 these entrepreneurs started selling individual clothing articles on Facebook. Eight years later they sell between 800,000 and 1 million items a year, primarily online but also in their stores in Liège and Louvain-la-Neuve.

  • PMSweet (winner in the large companies category in Wallonia)
PMSweet produces macarons that are exported across the globe. Between 2016 and 2020 this business saw its turnover grow from €1.7 to €18 million.

  • AsterX (winner in the small companies category in Flanders)
AsterX is a drinks distributor from Waarloos. In recent years the company has taken over several businesses and now owns four beverage stores, one wholesale business and 300 horeca businesses in the Antwerp region.

Double Trends Gazelle

The third Ambassador in the list above deserves special mention because AsterX won its category for the second year running. For their day-to-day operations, these entrepreneurs rely on the fixed and mobile Orange networks. This is what they had to say on the subject last year: “Thanks to Orange’s Shape & Fix we have access to back-up 4G in our stores and at checkout. Even if we lose internet access, we can still keep working. Our business hinges on data and accessibility and this way neither is compromised.”
