As standard your number is displayed on the phone of the person you are trying to reach. If you want to avoid this and prefer to stay anonymous you can hide your number with every call you make.
Enter the combination #31# followed by the number of your correspondent. The result? ‘Withheld’ is displayed on your correspondent’s screen. You must do this every time you wish to withhold your number when making an outgoing call. To hide your number for a prolonged period you need to hang up and then call 1921 and follow the instructions. In this case the numbers you are calling are no longer displayed either, it works both ways.
Attention: this does not work for texting. When you send a text your correspondent will always see your number.
