What is Mobile Threat Protection (MTP)?

Our smartphones are not always that ‘smart’ when it comes to protection: spyware, malware and viruses all too easily infect mobile devices. To protect your customers’ fleets more efficiently, Orange offers Mobile Threat Protection (MTP).

MTP is an application that immediately detects threats such as malware and viruses on your customer’s devices. When a threat is identified e.g. if an employee downloads a malicious app or connects to an unprotected network, he or she is warned by the MTP app.

Moreover, the company can monitor the threats to the fleet in real time via a portal. Thanks to the combination of threat detection by the MTP app and an MDM solution that will block the threat, your customer can be confident that his professional information is safe on his mobile devices.

MTP offers:

  • Network protection: monitors network traffic and detects suspicious connections from and to mobile devices.
  • Application scans: identifies malicious apps and apps that can jeopardise business data through reputation scans and code analysis.
  • Behavioural analysis: detects unusual behaviour by tracking expected and acceptable usage patterns.
  • Vulnerability assessments & URL phishing: inspects devices for configuration errors leading to the execution of malware and detects SMS phishing URLs.
